We are approaching the end of World Wellbeing Week. This is a yearly campaign which gives us the opportunity to promote an overall awareness for the wide-ranging aspects of wellbeing, including social, physical, emotional, financial, career, community, and environmental wellbeing. Whether it is taking a long bath in beautifully softened water or keeping healthy and hydrated by drinking filtered water, water plays a huge part in our wellbeing and we have a range of solutions to help.

Relaxation

Life can be stressful and busy so it's really important to take time out to relax. Warm baths help ease physical tension, relax anxious muscles, and give you that lovely soothing feeling when you're tightly wound. They can even aid with digestion problems, and lower blood sugar levels. The last thing you want however is dry, itchy skin afterwards. Not so relaxing! The answer to this is a water softener. Soft water works far better with bubble bath, foaming beautifully with only a small amount and rinsing away properly. This will leave your skin soft, smooth and glowing and without the need for excessive use of moisturisers.

Hydration

We all know that it is important for our health and wellbeing that we drink water on a regular basis. Not just any water will do however. It is vital that the water we drink is clean and pure otherwise we can become ill. Luckily, in the UK we are fortunate to have treated mains water in our homes, although sometimes the taste and odour isn't always the best. It is easy to improve your tap water however by having a water filtration system installed in your home. With water tasting so good, it’ll be easy to add those extra glasses into your day.

Staying healthy

If you live in a hard water area you may have noticed how dry your hands can get when washing them regularly. This is particularly apparent at the moment with the current COVID-19 health crisis and, with government advice to wash your hands as frequently as possible, many people are finding that their skin is becoming tight, itchy and uncomfortable. It's a well known fact that keeping your hands clean is vital to help stop the spread of disease so it is a must if you want to stay healthy. With hard water, the minerals mean that the hand soap you use is not properly dissolved by the water and therefore does not rinse away. Because of this, a scummy residue is left behind on your skin and this will then build up, resulting in clogged pores. Your skin produces natural oils which are distributed through the pores in order to keep itself moisturised and protected. If the pores become clogged the oils are not able to get through, thus resulting in dry skin. When you wash your hands with softened water however, the minerals have been removed resulting in soft, moisturised and thoroughly clean hands.
