Common questions

Servicing and repairs, answered

How much does a water softener service cost?

A full service is £139 including VAT, and a basic health check is £90. Repairs start from £139 including VAT, though that doesn't cover major parts. We'll always be clear on the cost before any work.

Do you service softeners you didn't install?

Yes. We service and repair every make and model, whoever supplied or fitted it, including drinking water systems. If you're unhappy with your current provider, we're glad to take over.

What does a service include?

A full service covers water and pressure testing, a functionality check, control settings, a full strip and inspection, replacing routine parts where needed, an electrical safety check where applicable, and a clean and sanitise, plus advice on anything further.

How often should a water softener be serviced?

Most softeners benefit from a service once a year to keep them running efficiently and catch small issues early. We can remind you when yours is due.

Can you repair any make of softener?

With over 30 years in the industry we've worked on just about every system going. Our engineers carry common spares on the van, so many repairs are completed in a single visit.

Is it worth repairing an old softener?

Often, yes. We regularly get older installations working efficiently again, which saves you hundreds of pounds versus a full replacement. If it really is beyond economic repair, we'll talk you through a replacement softener. Either way you'll get an honest view.
