Setting Up Your Minimax Innova I Lid

The Minimax Innova water softener was launched at the end of last year and we have all been eagerly awaiting the release of the WiFi enabled lid, the i-lid. The innovative i-lid monitors your salt levels, battery life and WiFi signal and coomunicates with the myHarvey app for updates and notifocations. The app’s simple dashboard shows your salt levels so that you can quickly see exactly how much is let and when you can top up. You can even turn on notifications, meaning that you never have to manually check again and won’t run the risk of running out. If you have already had your water softener installed and are waiting for your i-lid to be delivered or if you are having an installation in the future, you may need some advice on setting up you Minimax Innova i-lid so that you can enjoy all of the features and benefits straight away. 

Step 1 – setting up the app

  • Download the myHarvey app and create an account using your email and password to register. You can find the app in the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
  • Please note, the app requires either Apple iOS version 13 (or later) or Android OS version 6 (or later) operating systems to run.
  • You can set the app up on multiple devices.
  • If you already have a Harvey shop account, you can use these details to log in.

Step 2 –  setting up your softener

  • Once you have logged in to the myHarvey app, scan the QR code located on the label under the i-Lid.
  • Alternatively, you can manually enter the DSN and SSN number which can also be found on the underside of the i-Lid.
  • If you are having your i-Lid installed at the same time as your water softener, we will do this for you!
  • When prompted by the myHarvey app, turn the i-Lid on by pressing the button once on the top of the i-Lid.
  • Wait for the blue light to start flashing – this pairs your myHarvey app with your water softener. (Note: If the softener looks like it’s not turned on, make sure the batteries have been activated by removing the plastic tab in the battery compartment)
  • When the myHarvey app has found the i-Lid, press ‘join’. Select your network and enter your WiFi password to complete the connection.
  • Your myHarvey app has been successfully connected when you hear a beep and the blue light on the i-Lid is no longer flashing.

Step 3 – using the app

  • You can change the name of your softener in the settings section of the app at any time. If you are using Alexa alongside your myHarvey app, this will be the name that Alexa will use.
  • You will automatically have notifications and audio alerts turned on when you set up the softener. If you want to change this after set up, you can turn it on and change myHarvey app notifications from the Settings area of your app.
